Scrolling though Instagram I found a page with some of the most stunning images of balloons I've seen. True looner art was in front of my eyes, I wanted to know more about these amazing sets....meet Lucky Loons

1) Give us a small introduction about yourself
I'm Dennis or better known as "lucky loon" on Instagram.
I'm a 24 year old looner from Germany.
Besides my special passion for balloons, I love taking pictures of them.
You maybe noticed this beautiful women on my pictures, that's my girlfriend.
She isn't quite a looner but she loves to have fun with balloons and of course blow them up as big as possible.
Early in our relationship I told her about my balloon passion/fetish and she quickly learned how she gets me crazy with balloons and also how to pose with them in front of my camera.
We always try to make something new with our pictures and Balloons.
About my looner being. My balloon fetish arose out of a phobia, like many other people. First i was a non-popper and didn't want my balloons to pop but meanwhile I think I'm little more a semi-popper because I love to test the limits of a balloon and to inflate them as big as possible. I also collect balloons with different prints. I stopped counting but I think it are thousands of balloons which I have now, haha.
2) What was the first shoot you ever made with your partner, tell us a little bit about the experience
Uhh that's a quite hard question after six years of balloon shootings. Our first shooting was at my parents home, when they were on holidays. We inflated some balloons including a GL500 which was the first big balloon that we had. I was really excited because it wasn't long ago since I told her about my passion. So she sat on this giant GL500 and blew up some balloons while I tried to make some pictures of her. And I can tell you these pictures were horrible when I see them knowadays, haha.
2020 we decided to make a Instagram account to show our balloon creations on it. And We didn't think that there are so many people who like our pictures.
3) What are your top 3 most memorable shoots with balloons and why?
Our shooting on the last new years eve was really amazing because we had so much fun creating the decoration with those beautiful black and gold balloons. Another great shooting was this one where she sits on a shiny GL500 with a big mouse balloon in her hands. It's really hard to get these mouse balloons to their limits without popping them. But our all time favourite balloon shooting was outside at the beach. It was really exciting doing a shooting at the beach where people could see us.
4) What normally happens to the balloons before, during and after shooting?
Of course before the shooting we inflate them together as big as possible. Sometimes a balloon pops because we wanted too much but most of them survive. During the shooting my girlfriend just plays with them and I'm looking for a good pose for the next photo. But in future we also want to do little "popping set" with a bit more action for the poppers out there. After the shooting the most of our decoration stays for a while in our flat. And when the balloons doesn't look nice anymore, we're making a little popping party. As we did a few years ago in this room full of balloons on New Years Eve.
5) What does your partner most enjoy about the shoots?
She loves to make our pictures a bit mysterious and at the same time exciting with balloons. It's always fun for her to be in an ocean of balloons and kicking them around or holding a bunch of helium balloons. And every time we inflate balloons for our shootings she tries to blow them up as big as possible.
6) What would you absolutely love to be able to do in a shoot that you havn't done yet?
I'm dreaming of an outdoor shooting with a mass of balloons and some helium balloons too. Unfortunately we haven't found a new good place to do that until now but we won't give up searching for one.
Another thing I'd love to do would be a shooting together with some other looner models like Alissa and her gorgeous loonergirls (never stop dreaming haha).
